Born in a litter of 2 beige, at 60g Almond was the slightly larger of the two kits, her brother, Peanut, weighed 56g. Mum, Freda, had gained over 300g in this pregnancy and was dreading a much larger litter. The litter arrived a week earlier than the expected date but thankfully there are no problem with either kit as they are very active and mobile from birth.
Mum had the kits in her sand bath as they were not expected for another week, and they were only discovered when i heard them squeaking fighting to get milk.
Almond has the lovely pale milky beige of her dad, and appears to mirror the colouring of her older sister Kensi, hopefully she will as good as she ages.
Due to space restrictions and a number of new breeding females arriving, Almond was sold to Pixie Chinchillas on 24th October 2004
