Aniseed was born the solo kit in the litter - and was totally unexpected.  Mum, Saffron, was past the normal date for a breed back by 4 days so thought she was in the clear as she had not gained more than 50g in 6 weeks since weaning her previous kits - which i assumed was her just getting her strength back.  It proved otherwise.

 

Born at 58g he is a good size, and the first live male kit that his mum has had in 4 litters.  He is very active and running about a great deal - and makes a valiant effort to escape when you pick him up!

 

He is growing extremely well and his fur is nice and thick - though he may be slightly soft furred the same as his mum.  He has been weaned and will be shown for a good assessment of his qualities  but seems to be a much larger animal than saffron's earlier litters.
