Bart is litter mate to Molly, and was only pipped to the best mutation award at the show he was taken to by her.

 

He is a lovely friendly animal and loves to have a cuddle - he will sit still and let you stroke him without struggling to get down or run away.

 

When we acquired the Chingus Herd it was expected that we would have to allow some of the animals to go to new homes, and Bart was on paper pegged to be one of the males to go as we did not wish to breed beiges - other than those produced from the Brown Velvets.  However each time we finally decide that we have to sell him and let him go we have a cuddle and have to change our minds!

 

Bart was paired to four females, but we cut this back to 2 now so that we do not produce to many beige animals as we are trying to focus on strong standards as well as the mutation strains that we are working on such as Velvets and Sapphires.

 

For this reason, Bart was lent to Jess of Blue Meadow Chinchillas on 14th November 2004 on a kit sharing basis.
