Berry was born the first of a litter of two kits. When born she was a week early and rather weak, her eyes were unopened and she did not appear to be breathing properly.
I had to take her from the cage and swing her slowly, head down, to clear her passage ways. Thankfully this worked and she called out - and when put back into the cage Vi came over and looked after her straight away. Unfortunately her sister did not survive and when put back in the cage mum started to eat her so was removed.
Berry had to have a few supplement feeds over the first 2 nights, but then continued to gain enough weight on her own to allow me to cease those.
Since that point she has gone from strength to strength and continues to grow rapidly.
Berry went off to live with Becky (rrebok) on 4-4-04 and was delivered to the National Show.
