Out of condition, open furred, nice blue animal, nice shape and conformation, few dust baths and get two months older and be well worthy of an award,. Nice tipping – choppy fur due to condition and preparation.

Caraway was a bit of a surprise arrival. I had been expecting kits from Kim, his mum, but did not have a definite date for which they were due.
I gave her a sand bath at 1pm, went back in to take it out at about 3pm and there was Caraway sitting all fluffed up and looking very proud of himself sitting on the edge of the sand bath.
He was born a whopping 71g, and was very dark, which I'm hoping is a good sign of things to come. His growth has been rapid and steady.
As he has matured, Caraway has grown even darker filled out into a nice blocky chin. He was going to be kept for our own breeding programme, but due to the arrival of a lot of imported chinchillas and space being limited he has been sold to Tessa to improve her own lines.
