Novice Highly Commended award.   Swirl in back due to grooming, fur good.  Good colour and conformation, fur soft due to age may be better given time, young for showing.

Carmellia was the second full sapphire that we had born at Greenwood Chinchillas, one of three kits she was the only sapphire in the litter, her litter mates being Anise a female carrier and Jarrah a male.    It was Tansy's first litter and arrived two days later than expected.

 

Born at 52g, Carmellia was a good size at birth and has been pushing her siblings out the way to feed. She is very active and feeding well.

 

She will be staying as she develops to be used as future breeding stock.  Her colour is very blue , paler than her older sister Zinnia and her fur shorter and better density, so it is hoped that she will do well in the forthcoming shows when she is taken along, she ha so far achieved a novice HC award but is still only very young.
