Chicory was bought from Niki Graves and collected at the NCS National show April 2004.
He has a white underside to his tail which is often said to be a sign of carrying sapphire, the fact he is from two sapphire carrying parents meaning there's a 50% chance he could - but also a 25% chance he is only a normal standard.
Chicory is very skittish and has not been handled a great deal, he is currently living with a few other young males as a way to try and socialise him and make him more used to being handled- and it is working very effectively as he is improving all the time
Chicory came with only a partial pedigree, missing many details, so I contacted Sue Nelson, the breeder of the carriers which Niki Graves used to produce Chicory. It turned out she was not aware these animals were being bred from but she kindly provided me with the information to complete his pedigree.
Watching his development, and seeing that his quality was not as high as hoped, Chicory went off to a new pet home on 5th August 2004
