Damson was bred by Paul Spooner and used in his breeding lines before coming to Greenwood Chinchillas at the Napton show of October 2004.

 

She hasn't been here long but settled in right away and soon made friends with Poplar who also arrived at the same time from the same herd - so they are cage sharing until they have settled in and can be introduced to some of the males here.

 

It is intended that she will be paired to one of the sapphire males with a view to producing BV sapphire carriers for future attempts at breeding royals.

 

She has not been shown herself - though many award winners have been bred from the same lines.  And her dad was said to be exceptional.
