Fred was bred and shown by Fred Duggins - before being bought for a lot of money! Which to me suggests that the show awards he received were very good - however no record of this was passed to Sue Daniels of Chingus Chinchillas when she bought him from the previous owner.
He is a very friendly chin and loves to come out and explore, but gets very skittish if he is in a cage on his own. When in a poly system he is different to most males in that he likes to sit in with a 'special' female and doesn't hide away up in the run.
Fred sadly died July 2004. He did however leaving us a little leaving present - a week or so after his passing Marigold gave birth to twin standard girls.
