Karo was bred by Aileen Cook of Kingdom Chinchillas and for her achieved two Grand Show Champions Awards. I bought him after this time as a foundation male for breeding better quality stock with in the Greenwood Chinchillas herd and diversifying the gene pool.
His fur is lovely and plush, thick and stands well. His size is good and conformation is strong - but personally when looking from the side i feel he has a bit of a dip to his neck - so i shall be breeding him mainly to strong necked females.
He is quite friendly once you have been around the cage for a while - but will hide when you first enter - after a few minutes he will creep out to see if you have any treats for him though.
I am hoping that he will produce some lovely kits over the coming year.
