Kensi was born when I was away on a work related trip to London, I was staying in Kensington, hence the name she acquired upon my return - unusually breaking from the theme of naming my chinchillas after plants.

The friend that was looking after the animals did not notice her being born so it was quite a shock the first day I was cleaning them all out on my return to find her charging out of the next box behind mum and dad!  The day i found her she weighed a huge 91g! and the most she could have been was three days old!

Her colouration is a very pale beige with a very blue glow, many people suspect her of being a homo beige but her parentage makes this not possible.

She has remained big as she has grown and continues to keep good confirmation and fur strength , the first time out she obtained a Novice 2nd award despite being very out of condition.

Kensi has been placed in breeding from 7 and a half months old as she had grown very large, she has been paired to Pirate.
