Liquorice came to Greenwood Chinchillas by a very strange  route, he arrived from a pet home, along with full information of when he was purchased and his breeder.  He came from lines from Paul Danes, a breeder much respected within the Chinchilla Showing community but who unfortunately did not provide full pedigrees with the animals he sold.

 

Liquorice was paired up with Pepper when he had had quarantine and unfortunately she pulled some of his fur out one evening after they had been paired a while.  I shall show him once he has primed through and replaced his coat. As can be seen from the above picture he is a stunning animal.

 

He is rather timid of other chinchillas and it is going to be necessary to take slow introductions using poly cage system in order for him to be able to make friends in his own time.

 

He is a really friendly chin well used to being handled and will sit still on your lap and allow himself to be stroked.
