Greenwood Chinchillas - Breeding Combinations

This chart shows all of the possible combinations from breeding our current stock. Some combinations are more desirable than others and as such will be produced more than others.  Matings that produce unidentifiable offspring (eg possible Violet carriers) will not be made as the offspring cannot be correctly identified until breed.

The main interesting combinations on here are produced through Lavender a Beige Violet, she is more of a fun combination animal than serious quality show breeding stock.  The combinations using her genes can produce some spectacular colours but fur quality will often suffer, hence why other mutation to mutation combinations are avoided to ensure strong fur quality.

STD = Standard

BV = Black Velvet

BrV - Brown Velvet

VLT = Violet

WW = Wilson White

Ultra = Ultra Violet (Violet with Velvet)

VC = Violet carrying
