After a very long search for good quality Black Velvet female, I was lucky enough to be presented with Orchid.
She is a large and bouncy kit and very energetic and loves to explore. Within the first hour of her being born she was climbing to the top of the cage and leaping back down on her mum! She was born a whopping 67g and was the sole kit in the litter.
I am hopeful of her growing into a lovely dark velvet as her colour at birth is very strong and pronounced.
Her growth over time did not keep up with the good head start but her colour has remained stunning -however she has got her dads bad attitude to being territorial to her cage and barks when you go near her in there - but is fine out of it!
