Born one of triplets, all charcoal carriers - one beige male (Walnut) and one standard female (Cherry).  The first litter that Nellie had.

 

The whole litter will be kept as part of the ongoing breeding program of Charcoals that is taking place at Greenwood.  It is hoped that by crossing the carriers from this litter to carriers from the other litters produced we can work at strengthening and increasing the number of good quality charcoals in this country.

 

Pecan is a quieter chin than her siblings and often can be found snuggling up to mum and getting more feeds so is growing slightly faster than the other two, she seems to spend all of her time eating or sleeping!

 

She is the lightest coloured of the beiges in the litter.

 

Pecan was swapped with Heather Boncey of Heaven Chinchillas for a Standard Charcoal carrying male (Toadstool) on 22nd February 2005 in order to increase both of our genetic lines for the charcoals
