Poplar was bred and used in breeding by Paul Spooner prior to her arrival at Greenwood Chinchillas -she arrived at the Napton Show of October 2004 along with Damson and Sweetpea.

 

Both of her parents are highly prized and praised by Paul Spooner her breeder - he even referred to her mother as one of the best animals he had ever bred.

 

Poplar is a nervous chin and spent the first few days here hiding in the nest box provided for her - she did always pop out for treats though which she devoured with joy.

 

She was caged with Damson on her arrival and they have snuggled up together from the start - and are both bred out the same lines. 

 

I am giving them time to settle in before introducing them to some of the males that are available for them here.
