Acquired as part of a family group consisting of Bob, Bonny, Barley and Mallow. All were in cramped quarters and needing some love and attention. I had originally gone to view them as they were listed as from show stock - and the quality of the fur suggests that they could well have been - but their recent treatment did not show up their quality to its best. The pictures above do not fully do justice to how well they look now - having been taken not long after their arrival.
Upon arrival at Green Wood, Barley and Mallow were separated into a cage of their own away from mum and dad and their younger sister.
Rose is a lovely chinchilla, her fur colour is still developing into a fine oatmeal top with a lighter under fur. she is good for handling and likes to come out and explore and play with the other kits that we have. She sits very still when handled and does not shy away from children as many of the other chins we have do.
I took Rose to the Birdwell show on 21st September 2003, entered her in the Novice class as it was my first show - and she still managed to get a 2nd! Fantastic! That day she also went off to her new owner Jill, from Blackpool

she and Stuart are not in the same cage yet as she spat at him at first however - I don't foresee any huge problem - they now share a bath etc so I'm getting there! I managed to get Stuart's pedigree but I am still waiting for his birth date! Anyhow this is his ancestry as far as I know it:
Mother: TARA - pink/white
GRANDDAD: Crown of sunset
GRANDMA: wilson white [from Paul Spooner]
Dad: OZ - brown velvet
GRANDDAD: Crown of sunset
GRANDMA: black velvet
So hopefully there will be some lovely kits in the future!
