Rosie is a lovely friendly chin, she has inherited her mums temperament and the same cute floppy turn over to the top of her ears.
She was taken along to the Birdwell show simply to make up the numbers of animals that I was showing, and was a last minute addition simply because she looked so good at the time - I even removed her breeding collar that she had on! A quick groom, she spruced up very well and managed to get Best Novice Standard in Show! I was told she should have been entered in to the main show and would have had a good chance of a good reward there.
Rosie is always the first chin to come nosing at the door to her cage when I enter the chin room and many people have tried to kidnap her when visiting - but she is not going any where!
If she has a good period in condition next season that coincides with her not being pregnant or weaning then I may try her luck in the main show - after all she was already older this time than the ones that generally win awards.
Rosie was lent to Jess of Blue Meadow Chinchillas on 30th June 2004, on a kit share basis. She is to be paired to Jess's own male in order to increase the genetic stock of both of our herds.
