Sigyn was originally bred by Aileen Cook of Kingdom Chinchillas and sold to Clair of Coventry in November 2003 at the Birdwell NCS show.
During May 2004, Clair brought Sigyn to Greenwood Chinchillas when she decided that she wished to focus on males so that she could pair up all the animal that she had singly, so Sigyn came to join us and Alfie, violet male, went to live with her.
She is related to Thistle that is also here from Aileen.
Sigyn is a lovely calm chin, and though she did not seem that large when she arrived has had a late growth spurt, she therefore was paired to Spike in order to try and breed more violets and violet carriers.
Sigyns temperament has remained very calm and gentle and this has been transferred into her kits who are very relaxed and gentle animals.
Due to the fact that Sigyns pedigree is almost identical to Thistles, it seemed rather silly to keep both - so Sigyn has been rehomed to Margaret, a friend of both myself and Clare so that we can both stay in touch with her progress. She left here on 26th October 2004
